Tornado Devastation!

LAKE COUNTY

· Damages: Dozens of mobile homes in Lady Lake, The Villages and other towns were destroyed. Lady Lake Church of God on U.S. Highway 441 flattened.

· Injuries: Officials reported 19 people killed.

DELAND

· Damages: The Beresford Lady riverboat at the Sunrise Marina on the St. Johns River partially submerged. Sheriff's Office's District headquarters, the Volusia County Health Department, west campus of Daytona Beach Community College, Woodland Plaza, Bott's Landing, Hawthorne Hills and homes on Hontoon Island sustained significant damage. DeLand and Southwestern middle schools and Deltona Lakes and Starke elementary schools all were affected by the storms.

· Injuries: No injuries or deaths were reported.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH

· Damages: More than 100 homes were either destroyed or had major damage in New Smyrna Beach. Nearly a dozen homes in the 6400 block of Cypress Springs Parkway in Port Orange had minor damage.

· Injuries: Three minor injuries reported.Devastating News
